7.30 p.m
Charlie strolled through the park. Her thoughts where everywhere. The wind blew her hair back and made her feel even more alone. Alone. Cringing at the thought of that word she sat down on a bench. She hated that word. It made her feel empty, defenseless and powerless. Here in the park where no one she knew could see her she cried.
No longer long hard sobs she only let the tears slowly flow down her cheeks. She was empty and she knew that.
"I have to stop this," she said to her self.
CRASH.
Charlie jumped up from her seat. Tears still pouring her eyes darted around looking for the source of the noise. Her eyes scanned the area and found a small opening to her far right. Standing there were about four people. A girl and three guys. One was protecting her, the other two looked like they were fighting. One looked very ragged and his hair was a dark dusty grey. His eyes a shimmering silver. There was something that Charlie found very familiar about him.
But she couldn't put her finger on it.
So she called out. "Hey!"
All heads swerved and faced her. The ragged guy was stunned. He froze and one could see the fright in his eyes. The guy below him, now that charlie could see him, was exceptionally handsome. He had dark raven hair and bright blue eyes with pale skin to match. But his expression shivered her to the bone. His eyes were murderous and cold.
The next thing that happened was a blur to Charlie. The gorgeous guy broke away from the ragged guy using his surprise as an opening. Charlie remembered being knocked to the ground, screaming, a brilliant flash of white and then the blur of red.
---
Vexen was furious. Her eyes shone red locked in a glaring competition with Alexander.
What the hell is he DOING?
She was supporting an unconscious Kris while barring her teeth at Alexander. The ragged guy was holding him back the best he could. But he was in a lot of pain too. He was bleeding from many cuts on his arms and face. His eyes pleaded her to leave. For her to run away. Staying would only make things worse.
How could she deny him. She took one last look at Alexander before running off while carrying Kris. She was worried about the girl that saw them earlier though. Kris jumped in the way to save her and she fell behind the bushes.
But there wasn't anything Vexen could do now for her. She just hoped that that girl wasn't hurt. Vexen looked back and saw no one so she screeched to a stop. They were already outside the park far from Alexander, or so she thought.
Her ear piercing scream filled the night sky.
---
Lucille Jazzeck's ears heard the horrible scream as did Sevel Darrison's. "What in heaven's name was that," breathed Lucille after a long silence. Sevel gave her a worried look and by reading his mind she didn't have to ask where he was heading. She followed.
They ran swiftly towards the source of the scream. As they turned a corner Sevel transformed and leaped at the vampire attacking. It was caught off guard by him. They fell away from the people and wrestled on the road. It was dark but both could see what each was doing.
Meanwhile, Lucille attended to the two who were hurt. The girl was badly hurt. She had a deep gash diagonally down her face. The guy had three slashes in his side and was unconscious. "Shit," growled Lucille. She picked both up and disappeared into the shadows.
---
Alexander swung a large branch at sevel, who ducted and lunged at him.
Sevel tried his best not to hurt the vampire but saw he couldn't distract him without fighting. He worked his was glididng around the now clumsy vampire and managed to knock him out finally.
He watched the vampire. He wasn't breathing nor was a heart beat heard. One could hardly tell that he was alive. But he wasn't. That was his problem. Sevel turned to the brilliant moon in the sky. It was almost full. He sniffed the air and caught the scent of a fellow werewolf. "Stern," he whispered sadly.
He picked up the vampire and started running in his comrades direction.
---
Stern wasn't doing well. He was scratched up and the blow to his head left him very dizzy. His head spun as he crawled to the nearest tree. His breath was short and his eyes were drooping. It took all of his left over strengh not to go crazy, like Alexander. Nails grew longer as they dug into the ground. Teeth became tougher and sharper. His hair was shoulder length and messy.
He let out the painful scream he was holding in for months. It sounded so inhuman and animal like that even he was scared of it. His mind was being taken over by the monster inside. A monster that humans didn't have. Only humans were luckily spared. They didn't have to fight with their own body and yet they complained.
Stern couldn't hold on any longer. He was as good as dead for the rest of the night.
Black Eyes took over.
---
"Shit. I'm late," cursed Sevel under his breath. The scent of BlackEyes filled his nostrils. He put the unconsious vampire in a big bush and rushed towards the scent. Finnaly he reached a clearing where his eys met the eyes of a very large wolfman. It was staring intently at him. "I see you have taken his body, Elder," said Sevel politly while bowing to it. The Elder stared at his hand and curled it into a ball. He then punched into the nearest tree. The whole tree shattered into splinters of wood.
There was a deadly silence which the Elder broke. "His body is strong and well kept but his mind weakens," he said in a silky deep voice "I would like a word with you Sevel about the vampires. What is the conflict that I can smell even in my sleep? Their calm ruling has been disrupted for the first time in 200 years," he continued.
Sevel answered him calmily
"The conflict now is that the true leaders are not on their thrones. They are believed dead, killed by a demon. The Vampires are now ruled by Sephrille and Arvand. They are two most powerful Vampires, beacause the real leaders are gone. Only a handful of people know what has really happened to the two leaders. Two are vampires, but they to are believed dead,"
Sevel took a deep breath before adding "I shall tell you the whole story from the start but i think we should tell a few other people at the same time Elder BlackEyes,"
The elder thought for a second but nodded in agreement.
